(08/19/1997) --- Workers rotate the Node 1, part of the primary payload of the first Space Shuttle launch of an International Space Station (ISS) element, during processing activities in the Space Station Processing Facility. Along with two Pressurized Mating Adapters, Node 1 is scheduled to be launched aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour on Mission STS-88 in July 1998. The 22-foot-long module has a diameter of 18 feet. Node 1 will serve as a connecting passageway to the living and working areas of the ISS
