(04/08/1971) - The Apollo 15 astronauts that will be involved in the first time use of the Lunar Roving Vehicle, participate in a Crew Fit and Functional Test in the Manned Spacecraft Operations Building. Commander James B. Irwin and Command Module Pilot Alfred M. Worden, Jr., will drive the Lunar Roving Vehicle for the first time on the Moon's surface. The landing site for the Lunar Module is the Hadley-Apennine area of the Moon.
